Bunaíodh Comharchumann Forbartha Mhúscraí in 2008 le maoiniú ó Údarás na Gaeltachta. Tá cúig chlár ag Comharchumann Forbartha Mhúscraí; Gnó Mhúscraí, Guth Mhúscraí, Grá Mhúscraí, Múscraí Glas, Pobal Mhúscraí. Tá togha na hoibre déanta ag Comharchumann Forbartha Mhúscraí le blianta anuas ag tacú le gnóthlachtaí, coistí agus pleananna an cheantair a chur chun cinn. Tá cumarsáid mhaith ag an gComharchumann le heagrais stáit agus tá go leor de na tograí seo á bhforbairt i gcomhpháirtíocht le hÚdarás na Gaeltachta, Roinn na Gaeltachta, Comhairle Contae Chorcaí agus rannta stáit eile. Tá bainisteoir an chomharchumainn i gceannas ar Gteic, Béal Átha an Ghaorthaidh agus is ansan atá oifigí an chomharchumainn lonnaithe. Tá feachtas, i meas go leor eile, i mbun chun líon gnó sa Gteic a fhorbairt agus Claochlú Digiteach a chur i bhfeidhm ar leas an phobail.
Tá Guth Mhúscraí i mbun forbairtí teangan. Stiúraíonn coiste comhairle Pleanála Teanga an clár. Tá Plean Teanga Mhúscraí faoi lá seoil agus luach saothar le feiscint ar fud an cheantair agus an obair díograiseach atá idir lámha go leanúnach ag an Oifigeach Pleanála Teanga. Cuirfear cúrsaí agus ranganna ar fáil do dhaoine áitiúla chun Gaoluinn na háite a neartú.
Foilsíodh Plean Turasóireacht i 2022 faoin gclár Grá Mhúscraí agus tá roinnt mhaith de na spriocanna a foilsíodh á ullmhú fé láthair agus roinnt eile déanta cheana féin faoi stiúr Meitheal Turasóireachta Mhúscraí. Tá brandáil úr nua cruthaithe ar mhaith le margaíocht an cheantair. Fostaíodh Oifigeach Turasóireacht, faoi scáith an chomhairchumainn, a rachaidh i mbun oibre ar an bplean gníomhaíochta turasóireacht agus na moltaí a thagann as an bplean gníomhaíochta seo.
Tá Múscraí Glas ag iarraidh saol inbhuanaithe a fheabhsú sa cheantar. Eagraíodh ceardlanna chun scéimeanna agus deontais a chur os comhair an phobail leis an gclár Múscraí Glas maidir le uasghrádú fuinnimh &rl. Tá taighde agus réamh obair déanta ar Phlean Gníomhaíochta Dramhaíola le haighaidh Geilleagar Ciorclach, agus Plean Fuinnimh. Tugann an Comharchumann, leis an gclár, Pobal Mhúscraí, cúnamh agus tacaíocht pé slí is féidir do na grúpaí pobail agus coistí deonacha atá gníomhach sa cheantar áitiúil. Forbraítear Gaoluinn agus cuirtear tacaíochtaí i dtaobh na Gaoluinne chun tosaigh ach go háirithe. Tugtar cúnamh do scéim sóisialta tuaithe, Clubanna óige mar aon le fiontraíocht shóisialta sa cheantar. Tá ról comhordaithe tabhachtach ag an leibheal áitiúil mar aon le bheith ag tacú

Comharchumann Forbartha Múscraí was established in 2008 with funding from Údarás na Gaeltachta. Comharchumann Forbartha Mhúscraí has five programs; Gnó Mhúscraí, Guth Mhúscraí, Grá Mhúscraí, Múscraí Glas, Pobal Mhúscraí. The Co-operative has worked for years supporting businesses and committees, while also promoting development plans
for the area. The Co-operative has good communication with state organizations and many of these projects are being developed in partnership with Údarás na Gaeltachta,
Roinn na Gaeltacht, Cork County Council and other state departments.The manager of the co-operative also manages the Gteic, the digital hub co-working space in Béal Átha
an Ghaorthaidh, which is where the offices of the comharchumann are also located. It has 18 co-working spaces available and is affilitated to the Connected Hubs as well as the wider Gteiceanna network across the Gaeltachtaí. A campaign, among many others initiatives, is underway to attract and increase business numbers into the Gteic. The hub also supports ditigal transformation initiatives in Gaelacht Mhúscraí, and is working to extend the range of services and business and community supports from the hub as well as support the development of social enterprises.
Guth Múscraí is engaged in language development. The program is managed by the Language Planning committee and there is a full-time Language Planning Officer. The value of the work can be seen throughout the area, as well as the fantastic work that is continuously underway by the enthuiastic Language Planning Officer. Courses and classes are
available to local people to strengthen spoken Irish, as well as many other initatives with schools, and local businesses.
A Tourism Plan was published in 2022 under the Grá Múscraí programme and many of the goals have been actioned and some others have already been completed under the direction of the Múscraí Tourism Committee. A fresh new branding was created to promote Gaeltacht Mhúscraí. A Tourism Officer was appointed by the Comharchumann in Novemer 2022, to support the implementation of the Tourism Plan, funded by Údarás na Gaeltachta, with marketing support from Cork County Council.
The Múscraí Glas programme aims to promote sustainable living. It has carried out research on the housing stock in the area and initiatied a pilot Retrofit programme for residential houses in 2020, supported by funding from ESB. This work also included raising awareness, organising workshops and providing clinics on conserving energy and using renewable energy. It also commissioned a Waste Management Plan which will be actioned. A wider focus on sustainable living is being developed which will include Food sustainabililty and the circular economy.
The Comharchumann, with the programme, Pobal Múscraí, gives help and support in any and every way possible to community groups and voluntary committees that are active in the local area.. In addition to assistance given regarding information and access to funding sources, the Comharchumann supports the rural social schemes, the day centres, the youth clubs and social enterprises in the area.
